Works commenced towards the end of 2019 and saw the existing all-weather pitch resurfaced with 4,500 sq/m Superb high-performance artificial grass carpet. Ancillary works included new sports fencing and kerbing as well as carrying out repairs to the existing ball stop netting.

A second part of the project was the installation of a hurling wall positioned at the end of the pitch. On the other side of this wall we constructed an additional floodlit hurling skills area, fully carpeted and enclosed.

The aim of the additional hurling training area was to ensure that hurling sessions could be carried out in a safe and secure environment with traffic flowing freely through the complex. This part of the project included all base preparation works, drainage, building a new stone base, carpet installation, kerbing, fencing and netting.
