Project Scope
The project included full groundworks, drainage and the installation of a dynamic stone base designed to create a stable foundation for the pitch. In addition, 240m of 2.4m high fencing was installed to ensure player safety, while 240m of 2.6m high netting offers added protection from stray balls. PST Sport also laid the groundwork for future expansions, including foundations for a ball wall and floodlights, allowing for future development of the facility.

The playing surface features Pride 60 artificial turf laid over preformed shock pad. This combination of shock pad and premium turf offers exceptional performance, durability, and comfort, providing players with a professional-grade playing experience. The Pride 60 surface is renowned for its durability and realistic play characteristics, making it ideal for GAA clubs.

Since its completion, the pitch has been extensively used, proving to be a tremendous asset to Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA. With its durable, weather-resistant surface, the facility allows the club to host training and games throughout the year, significantly enhancing the player experience and the club’s ability to grow and thrive.
