Flint Town United FC will boast a brand new 3G pitch at Essity Stadium just in time for the new season. Once complete, the state-of-the-art artificial grass facility will be a hugely beneficial asset to the town of Flint and its wider community, now and for future generations.

Earlier this month Flint Town United unveiled plans to overhaul its stadium facility, replacing the existing natural grass field with a 7,800 sq/m artificial grass surface. Works on the much-anticipated project will commence next week and will include installing a new drainage system, stone subbase and dynamic stone layer.

Ambitious Plans for Greater Success

With Welsh footballing legend, Ian Rush as club president, the development marks a huge step forward for the The Silkmen. The club have ambitious plans and aim to ensure that investment in facilities at Essity Stadium mirror their plans for progress on the field. The new pitch will allow much greater use of the facility benefiting teams at all levels, particularly the club’s youth teams. Flint Town United’s successful Academy will also take advantage from having such a high-quality playing surface for its training and match facilities.

Furthermore, it will be available to hire for local clubs as a way to increase revenue for the club by offering local grass-roots teams the opportunity to play and train on the pitch.

The new pitch will benefit from a state-of-the-art Superb 45 surface, a heavy weight premier football surface offering superior playing characteristics, installed onto a performance pad.

The unique diamond shape of the Superb yarn ensures the blades stay standing upright, giving a ball roll that is as close to a high-quality natural turf pitch as possible.

Superb is manufactured using the C8 polymer, the market leading yarn in artificial and sports grass worldwide. C8 is a purer polymer making the fibres extremely soft to touch yet incredibly durable and exceptionally resilient.

The partnership will see PST Sport perform as main sponsor for the Munster Senior League Centenary Year Celebrations in 2022, and as sponsor of the ‘Club of the Month’ awards for 2023 and 2024.

The excitement at Firies National School was unmistakable this week as the new term marked the opening of the school’s brand new state-of-the-art 3G pitch. After months of careful planning, the 60m x 40m community all-weather pitch with high performance artificial grass carpet on a prefabricated shock pad system, surrounded by rebound fencing and concrete footpath was handed over to Principal, Claire Doyle.

Works on the much-anticipated facility on the grounds of Firies NS, in the heart of Co. Kerry, completed last week ahead of the school’s reopening this week.

Clubs and community groups from Firies and beyond will get to play and train year round on this much needed facility. The new pitch will not only benefit physical health but their psychological and emotional well being too.

State of the Art 3G Pitch Coming to St Ives FC

Earlier this week PST Sport broke ground at St Ives Town FC’s homegrounds, Westwood Road, converting the existing stadium field to a world-class 3G pitch. The proposed surfacing solution: 8000m2 50mm Superb artificial carpet on a high density performance shock pad, sat atop a complete drainage system and stone base. Ancillary works will include pitch perimeter fencing and upgraded LED floodlights to show off the new facility no matter what the kick-off time is.

PST Sport have been appointed principal contractor at Barnet Football Club, The Hive, International Training Centre, where over the coming months we’ll be converting the existing grass pitch to a world-class 7525 sq/m 3G artificial pitch.

Works on the much-anticipated project commenced earlier this month and are due to be completed by June. With the unpredictable nature of the existing grass pitch, the new pitch will have huge potential for football at the training venue enabling specific football development programmes to be successfully delivered.

PST Sport is delighted to have secured the contract to construct a new 3G playing surface to replace the club’s natural stadium pitch for Hemel Hempstead Town FC at Vauxhall Road.

For this project we have designed the sub base and drainage system to accommodate the new surfacing solution that will test to FIFA QP performance standards. The new artificial grass surface, combined with our performance pad will deliver the most technologically advanced artificial turf pitch. A second part of the project is re-turfing an existing 6-a-side artificial pitch.

Our proposed surfacing solution for Hemel Hempstead Town FC is SUPERB, an advanced artificial turf system balancing durability, resilience, and softness to produce a superior sporting experience. The end result is a state-of-the-art, first in its kind artificial grass pitch at Hemel Hemstead Town FC where players of all ages can play at Vauxhall Road, rain or shine.

One of our latest projects is the installation of an 8,000 sq/m synthetic turf surface at Horsfall Stadium. PST Sport are delighted to have secured the contract to rebuild the main stadium pitch at Horsfall Stadium for Bradford Park Avenue FC. The new base will be fully engineered before receiving the new PST Sport surfacing solution.
