PST Sport Celebrates Milestone: Our Lady’s Secondary School Air Dome Project Nearing Completion

Another exciting milestone for PST Sport! Delighted to share that our first air dome project at Our Lady’s Secondary School in Terenure is nearing completion. The state-of-the-art facility boasts a 91m length x 48.6m width x 14m height self-supporting (inflatable), double-layered air-dome, featuring a thermal membrane, lights, ventilation, and a heating system and will revolutionise the school’s sporting experience.

One of the standout features of this project was the construction of a reinforced concrete ring beam to provide robust support for the air dome. Additional project elements included a modular building with changing rooms, seminar room, and office, fencing & netting; a 7mm vinyl FIBA approved sports flooring; a 1,400 sq/m hockey playing surface with our high performance Fastpro 18 hockey carpet laid over shock pad; and the installation of perimeter drainage around the perimeter of the air dome.

We are excited to share that we successfully obtained council and building control sign-off prior to Christmas, marking a significant step towards project completion. Currently, our team is working on the snag list in collaboration with our client.
