Shaping Sporting Futures: PST Sport Enhances Sports Infrastructure at St Ignatius College, Enfield

PST Sport proudly announces the completion of multiple phases of development at St Ignatius College, Enfield. Since 2021, PST Sport has collaborated closely with the school to deliver a number of state-of-the-art artificial turf sports surfaces, enhancing the school’s commitment to providing exceptional sporting facilities.
Sport plays an integral role in the curriculum at St Ignatius College, and PST Sport has been instrumental in realising the school’s vision for world-class sports infrastructure. Phase I of the project involved the construction of a 1,630 sq/m artificial grass multi-sport surface featuring FastPro 18 sand dressed carpet on an insitu shock pad. FastPro is an exceptional short pile sports surface for everyday use.
Building upon the success of Phase I, Phase II saw the installation of a 34m x 63m multi-sport surface, further enhancing the school’s sporting capabilities. Works included the implementation of a new macadam layer, 194 meters of timber edging, and repairs to existing spectator fencing. The new surface: Pride 50, a cutting-edge synthetic turf known for its durability and optimal performance, laid over shock pad and infilled with high-grade silica sand and performance SBR to give an enhanced player experience across multiple sports.
We recently completed the installation of an artificial grass long jump run-up with a landing sand pit and a high jump take-off area at St Ignatius College. The FastPro 18mm surface, laid over shock pad and infilled with specialist grade premium infill sand, further enhances the school’s athletic offerings.
