Record €230 Million Sports Capital Grants Announced: A Boost for Irish Communities & Grassroots Sport

Fantastic news for Irish sport! The Sports Capital Grants were announced today, with a record-breaking €230 million allocated for Community Sports Facilities. Nearly 2,000 grants have been approved for new and improved sports facilities across the country, bringing the total funding in 2024 to over a quarter of a billion euro! This significant investment is a tremendous boost to sports organisations nationwide, helping to enrich communities through sport.

Congratulations to all the local groups who were successful and secured funding through the Sports Capital Programme. It’s fantastic to see such strong support for grassroots sports.
