Larkhall Athletic FC Set to Transform Securitas Stadium with World-Class FIFA Quality Pro Artificial Turf Pitch

Exciting times ahead for Larkhall Athletic Football Club as PST Sport embark on the construction of a brand new FIFA Quality Pro 3G pitch at Securitas Stadium. Next season, the club will compete at the highest level in its history. Transforming Securitas Stadium

The much-anticipated project, which has recently begun, will transform the Larks’ stadium pitch, replacing the existing natural grass field with a state-of-the-art artificial grass surface. PST Sport have designed the subbase and drainage system to accommodate the new surfacing solution to deliver the most technologically advanced artificial turf pitch. Additional works include kerbing, the installation of 1.2m high spectator fencing, and a 1.5m wide tarmac footpath will be constructed on three sides of the pitch, along with retaining walls.

TriPlex 45 Surface: Innovation in Artificial Turf

The chosen surface is TriPlex 45, laid over preformed shock pad. TriPlex 45 can be played on constantly and drains much faster than natural turf. This superior football turf uses 3 different shaped yarns, for better resilience, durability and softness. This enables the field to perform to FIFA standards and also creates a surface that can last in excess of 10 years. The surface provides a good balance of performance and longevity, which will allow the club to use the field extensively and maximise its usage to the wider community.
