PST Sport recently completed a world-class FIFA Quality Approved artificial grass stadium pitch for League of Ireland club, Bray Wanderers, at Carlisle Grounds. The new state-of-the-art surface is set to transform the club, providing a consistent, high-performance pitch that eliminates the challenges of training across multiple venues.

Previously, teams trained in various locations, including Greystones, Enniskerry, Monkstown, and Ballycorus, resulting in logistical issues and costly rental fees. Now, with a world-class home pitch, all teams can train and play in one location, reinforcing the club’s identity and ensuring year-round availability, regardless of weather conditions.

The project included full groundworks, the installation of an enhanced drainage system and a dynamic stone base, creating the perfect foundation for a high-quality playing surface.

The TriPlex 45 surface features 3 different fibre shapes, in 3 different shades of green. Each fibre has its own function, that offers a perfect surface for football; combining durability, resilience and a comfortable touch against skin. Underneath, our SAFLEX shock pad ensures optimal energy dispersion, mimicking the feel of a high-quality natural grass pitch – firm underfoot but soft upon impact. The pitch was infilled with high-grade silica sand and Green ECO ProGran infill, ensuring consistent playability and long-term performance.

Testing to FIFA Quality Standards

The pitch was independently tested by Sports Labs, meeting FIFA Quality standards. The new surface was officially put to the test on Friday, March 14th, against Dundalk, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the club.
